In this editorial article, Igor Bobic ,associate politics editor for the Huffington Post, discusses how President Trump blames the death of Navy SEAL, William "Ryan" Owens, on the military. Bobic is very credible when it comes to providing the reader with what President Trump actually said by quoting him from an interview that Trump had with Fox News and also providing the video on the page. Throughout this article Bobic is trying to persuade the reader that unlike previous presidents, President Trump pushed the blame on someone else rather than taking ownership of the tragedy that happened. Bobic provides different quotes from past presidents such as President Barack Obama, President George W. Bush, and President Ronald Reagan to provide proof that typically, even if it wasn't necessarily their fault, the President will take sole responsibility for anything that may happen while they are in office. It is most definitely evident that Bobic believes that President Trump is wrong for blaming the military. It is also evident that his audience is mostly filled with democrats and liberals. I personally cannot say whether or not I agree or disagree with Bobic's argument. On one hand I do feel like President Trump should take blame for what has happened, but on the other hand he is not solely responsible for the death of William "Ryan" Owens. Do I think it is okay that President Trump tried to put all the blame on the military? Of course not. Tragic things happen all of the time and the blame cannot be put on one person when there are multiple factors involved.
